Posted by shkoles on June 25, 2008

Hey heroes fans, its been a while since the last post but here is some exciting news! Enjoy!

Linderman is back

William Katt (Perry Mason, Greatest American Hero), according to Newsarama is to make an appearance on Heroes.

I just filmed it last week,” Katt says of his appearance on Heroes. “I play a really, really wonderful, seedy, smarmy-mouthed reporter that goes after Ali Larter. It was a lot of fun.

…but wait…on the right…isn’t that Linderman?
Isn’t he…dead?
Well, we got a spoiler after the ‘Continue…’ jump

The Linderman Spoiler:

Malcolm McDowell (Daniel Linderman on Heroes) was at the NY Big Apple Comic Book Convention (June 7-8, 2008), and when asked about his possible return to Heroes he was quoted saying: “Yes, Linderman will be back next season, for five episodes.”

Revived? Flashback?…only time will tell.

Stay tuned for updates!

Is Gaza Israel’s New Lebanon?

Posted by Atilla89 on April 17, 2008

No. I’m not talking about the current situation between Lebanon and Israel. I am talking about Lebanon pre-2000. When Hezbollah was easily Israel’s most dangerous foe at the time, as explored in the novel, Beaufort by Ron Leshem.

Infolive.tv has given a wonderful overview of the situation which you can view here.

Despite the fact that senior government officials have stated a number of times that it is only a matter of time before a large scale military operation will be launched in the Gaza Strip, Israel appears reluctant and instead opts to launch frequent limited incursions on the ground and rely on air force strikes, rather then a major ground offensive.

I’m pretty sure the reason why this is so is Shalit. The Knesset does’t want to endanger his life and lose whatever credibility it has left. However, leaving the problem to fester as Olmert is just plain wrong, the reasons of which I explored in this post.

In conversations with Israeli defense officials in recent months, there were those who supported continuing with the current IDF strategy, relying on small but frequent ground incursions and air strikes to do the job and eventually reap results. There were other officials who declared that after almost eight years of intifada, constant rocket attacks on Israeli communities in the South, it was time to act, and harshly. Time to make the terrorists pay. The method ? To issue warnings to residents in Gaza informing them that they have until the following day to leave their homes., and then bomb the neighborhoods and flatten them. Only then the officials said, will the Palestinians realize that Israel means business and if the terror continues there will be heavy and harsh price to pay.

I’ve always believed in destroying every part of Hamas. There can be simply no negotiation with them. All they seem to understand is force. Their version of a cease-fire with Israel is that of a Hudna, or a temporary cease-fire in which they can rearm and regroup. Right now, Hamas doesn’t give a damn about what might happen if they capture an Israeli solider because there will be no real consequence. Sure they may lose a few men, but who cares when they can ransom off their hostages for dozens of Palestinian prisoners in Isreal. This is just one of the reasons why I believe that Israel needs to act now in order to deter any future attacks.

As the violence in the South threatens to mar the Pessah holiday once again, perhaps Israel’s government echelon owes it to its citizens to take more decisive and determined action, and take the necssary steps once and for all, to protect its citizens and halt the terror.

So very true.

Last week, during the ‘Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival’ in Los Angeles, was presented an exclusive preview of ‘Heroes Volume 3: Villains’.
Cameras and video cameras were not allowed but, as often happens, somebody managed somehow to film the preview… not the best quality, but we’re sure you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.

Heroes “Out of Time” Spoilers

Posted by shkoles on November 1, 2007

Who’s going to die? Who’s going to kill him?
Why -in his visions- Nathan is all burnt?
Mylar or Sylaya? …well, since they’re spoilers, to read them you’ll need to click on ‘read more’

WHAT LIES AHEAD
- Elle Is Super Kinkay: In ep 8, which flashes back four months, just wait till you see how sadistic our darling Kristen Bell can be as she gleefully zaps and zings Peter. Oh, and FYI, their lips might kinda sorta meet. And oh yeah, I might freak. I mean, Veronica and Jess lip-locking? Hello? That’s the stuff of TV legends!
- Maya Is Super Bad: And not in a fun Michael Cera of Superbad way—more like a Bill from Kill Bill kinda way. Just wait till you see what she did four months ago! You’ll think her brother is a saint.
- Nathan Is Super Lucky: You know that creeptastic burned dude Mr. Petrelli keeps seeing in the mirror? Sources confirm to me that’s most definitely Nathan just a few months back, and the reason he looks so good is that (a) Adrian Pasdar is genetically blessed and (b) there’s a cool new “cure” of sorts that could do a whole lotta people some good—including Nathan and, I don’t know, perhaps Isaac and D.L. and Simone and Daddy Suresh, to name a few.
- Kensei Is Super Old: 400 years old and he looks that good without a smidge of Botox? No fair! And he might even have picked himself up an Anglo name! You’ll see very soon, and so will Peter, who gets a new bunkmate.
- A Hero Is Super Dead: Sylar’s gonna kill a Hero. A non-Hero’s gonna kill a non-Hero. And then Sylar’s gonna kill another Hero. Yeah, news flash: The guy’s still ridonkulously evil. Don’t let that shiny new Mylar fool you!

The seventh episode of Heroes volume 2 is titled “OUT OF TIME” and will air Monday November 5, 2007 at 9:00 PM (EST) on NBC and 9:30 on the 7 network in Australia.

In this 3 minute preview of the upcoming episode we’ll see scenes that include:

  1. H.R.G. finds the remaining paintings
  2. West shows Claire the newspaper article
  3. Bob comes up with a plan to stop Matt’s father

Heroes - “The line” spoilers

Posted by shkoles on October 26, 2007

kb_thumbnail.jpg

Here are some subtle spoilers to what lies ahead in upcoming episodes of heroes!!
WHAT LIES AHEAD

Looks like Alejandro and Sylar aren’t very good carpool buddies. Too bad poor Alejandro doesn’t know who he’s messing with, because Sylar makes his intentions for the Wonder Twins known in the next episode. Let’s just say both Alejandro and Maya have it coming to them. But they will each get a very different form of “it.” And I’m completely speaking jibberish now, aren’t I? Still, see if you can figure out what I’m talkin’ ’bout in the Comments section below. And, oh, what the hey, I’ll tell you a smidge more…..

Get Ready for Mylar
: Yep, you heard me.

Claire-Bear Is Back: Claire comes back front and center in the next episode, in which creepy West continues his creepy ways in “helping” her get on the cheerleading squad. Am I the only one who can’t stand that guy? Where is Sylar when you need him?!?!?!

Isaac’s Legacy Lives On: In the next ep, HRG will discover paintings that show six upcoming shockers that involve Niki, Claire, Hiro, Suresh, a mystery person and Peter. One involves a murder and another involves a body bag.
Here’s a RARE 3 minutes preview of the episode, with three clips:

  1. Sureshfaces a serious dilemma with The Company
  2. West convinces Claire to teach the head cheerleader a lesson for not accepting her on the squad
  3. H.R.G. pays his Russian mentor a visit

Meanwhile, nearing the U.S. border, Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) becomes increasingly uneasy about Sylar’s (Zachary Quinto) intentions, especially towards Maya (Dania Ramirez) . Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) and Caitlin’s (Katie Carr) search for a mysterious doorway he painted ultimately leads them to a surprising place.
